In my teaching, examinations are not the focus.
While grade levels can roughly indicate technical range, they do not define the musical value or suitability of a piece.
Repertoire is selected based on each student’s current ability, technical readiness, and musical development, rather than on examination lists alone.
Within an appropriate difficulty range, I choose pieces that are musically meaningful
and engaging, aiming to support long-term interest and growth.
